Live polls and Q&A for trainers and facilitators

Live polls for real rooms. No per-person pricing, no contract.

Everyone answers from their phone and the results appear on your screen as they come in. Nobody is charged by the number of people in the room, on any plan, and there is no annual contract. A vote is saved the moment it is cast, so a wifi drop does not lose it.

Attendees join by code. No app, no account.
  • Tested with 1,000 phones voting inside five seconds
  • Monthly, no contract, cheaper every month you stay, down to $8.99
The presenter's screen: a poll live now with seven votes across three choices, the list of polls underneath An attendee's phone showing the same poll, their answer highlighted

Forty seconds from nothing to a room voting

These are screenshots of the product, not drawings of it.

  1. The full-screen join slide: a six digit room code in large yellow type and a QR code on black
    1

Start a room, put the code on the screen

No signup. You get a code and a full-screen slide for the projector. People type the code or scan it.

  2. An attendee's phone: the question, three choices, the chosen one highlighted and marked Your answer
    2

    Everyone answers from their phone

No app download, no account, no email harvesting. The person in the back row joins as fast as the person in the front.

  3. The live results panel: seven votes across three choices, with counts and percentages
    3

Results fill in as the votes land

Open a poll, watch the bars move on the screen behind you, close it when the room is done. Each person can change their answer until you close it.

You know the exact moment.

Forty hands are up, everyone's phone is out, and the screen says you have hit your monthly limit. Or the hotel wifi stutters and half the votes evaporate. Then you find out the plan was annual, non-refundable, and support's answer is no.

Every one of those is a pricing decision, not a technical limit. They cap your room because that's how they sell you the next tier.

That isn't hypothetical. It's what the reviews are full of:

  • Free tiers that meter responses, not people. Twenty attendees answering two questions each: your whole month, spent.
  • 50 participants a month. One workshop of thirty and one of twenty-five, and you're locked out until the calendar flips.
  • $120/year for polls. $588/year for the same 700-seat cap. Nearly four times the price, not one extra person in the room.
  • Refunds refused even when the tool failed live during someone's event.

Built for bad rooms

Hotel basements, draughty halls, a venue wifi that was fine until everyone arrived. Here is what we have actually tested, not what we hope.

The recording: the phone loses its connection mid-vote, the presenter keeps going, the phone comes back by itself with its answer. Twenty seconds offline, recorded from the real product, no sound.

The wifi drops.

A vote is saved the moment it is cast. The phone stays in the room and reconnects on its own, showing the answer already given. Tested with the network gone for up to a minute.

Everyone votes at once.

Tested with 1,000 phones in one room, all voting inside five seconds. Every vote counted.

Something goes wrong on our side.

What the room has already said is already saved, so a hiccup on our side does not erase it. The room picks up where it was.

Six ways to ask, plus questions back

Named by what the attendee does. Every one is free on every plan and works live in the room, with the results on the screen and on every phone. Pro keeps and exports them; it never buys the right to ask.

  • A phone showing the room's word cloud: Useful largest, then Practical, Clear, Energising, Fun and Honest

    A word cloud

Up to three words per phone. Useful, useful and USEFUL count as one, and the room's most common spelling wins.

  • A phone after voting closed: four choices in the order the room agreed, each with its average place

    A ranking

Everyone taps the choices into their own order. The room gets one order back, counting every place, not just first picks.

  • A phone with a pick-several question, two of four choices ticked, bars showing how many picked each

    Pick one, or several

Up to eight choices. Bars fill as the room answers.

  • A phone with a scale from 1 to 10, the chosen number highlighted, the room average underneath

    A scale

Your range, your end labels, the room's average as it moves.

  • A phone with an open text question and a short typed answer

    A short written answer

One per phone, shown to you as cards, to the room when you close it.

  • A phone after voting closed: the correct choice revealed and marked, with 'You got it right'

    A correct answer

Mark it when you write the question. Revealed to every screen only when voting closes.

  • A phone on the Questions tab: three questions from the room, one upvoted

    Questions from the room

People ask and upvote. You answer what the room actually cares about.

  • Try all six in your next session.

Free, no signup. Up to 10 questions in a room, 20 with a free account.

Type polls live in the room, or prepare them the night before with a free account and run the same set in any number of sessions. Each session keeps its own results.

Before you bring it into a room

Do attendees need an app or an account?+

No. They type the code into their phone's browser or scan the slide, and they are in. We never ask them for an email address.

Our company network blocks the site. What then?+

Open Pollproof at poll.nttie.com instead: the same Pollproof on an older address that company firewalls tend to let through, with the same account and the same rooms. If only your audience is behind the firewall, tap the switch under the room code and the QR code and join slide move to that address.

Does it work alongside my slides?+

Yes. The room is a page in your browser. Show the join slide, switch back to your slides, come back when it is time for a poll. The room stays open and the phones stay connected the whole time.

Can I prepare the questions before the session?+

Yes, with a free account: write a set of questions the night before and start a room from it. Run the same set next week in another room; each room keeps its own results. Free accounts hold ten sets; Pro has no set limit.

How big a room can it take?+

We have tested one room with 1,000 phones voting inside five seconds, and that is where a room is capped, politely, rather than letting it slow down for everyone. Rooms of 20 to 100 are what it is built around.

How many questions can I ask in one room?+

Up to 10 without an account, 20 with a free account, and no set limit on Pro. An agenda that does not fit is refused when you start the room, or when you add it to one, never cut short in front of the audience.

Why does Pro get cheaper?+

Most tools in this space lock you into a year up front. Here you pay month by month, and every month you pay for takes 50 cents off the next one: $14.99 the first month, down to $8.99 after a year, where it stays. Cancel whenever; if you come back later it starts again at $14.99, because the discount is for staying. Plus VAT where your country charges it.

What happens to the results afterwards?+

They stay readable for 24 hours, or 7 days with a free account. After that they lock rather than disappear, and Pro unlocks them and keeps them for good, with CSV and a printable report. Attendees never see past results. Delete your account from your settings and everything you made goes with it.

What if something goes wrong during my session?+

Votes already cast are saved the moment they land, so the room does not have to start over: phones reconnect on their own to the same poll with their answers in place. If you hit something we should know about, write to contact@singulence.com and a person answers.

Start a room. Free, no signup.

About forty seconds. Bring it to your next session and find out whether it holds.

No card, no account. You get a code to put on screen.

Already have a tool for this? Keep it if the caps never bite and the annual bill doesn't sting. This is for the person who runs sessions often enough to hit the ceiling, in rooms too small for enterprise pricing, in venues where the wifi is a genuine risk.
